April 2026

Happy Quarter Year!

I know, I’m making that up—but this year is moving so fast I felt like I had to mark the occasion. I’m still finding my groove with these newsletters (maybe quarterly is the magic number?) There’s lots going on for me musically and I wanted to share some of the highlights.

Tamworth was a whirlwind in January - it's been years since I’ve been back, and with 100+ venues, I didn't stand a chance of seeing it all. The absolute highlight? Playing my showcase at The Oasis Hotel and seeing my brother, Matt, walk in mid-set after a three-hour drive just to catch me 😘

Big shoutout to my new friends who made it feel like home—Bruce for the bed, Kaz for the gig tips and great seats and Marg & Steve for the company. I’m already counting down to next year (I posted a bunch of photos on Instagram & Facebook)

The Gap, Art & Eats (Brisbane) was also a blast in March—that festival has grown so much! Thanks to Kath and Colin for having me back. It was so much fun playing to a wonderfully receptive audience alongside awesome bands at a great community event 🎉

What’s next:

  • This Sunday (April 12th): I’m playing at Resin Brewery in Bulli from 2–5pm. If you’re around, come and hang out. It’s going to be a very chilled afternoon of good beer, food and live tunes.
  • New Music: I’m currently hunting for a producer to record some new tracks. I’ve been road-testing these songs at my gigs - so if you want to hear the raw versions before they hit the studio, come say hi at a show.
  • Merch: I finally got the shop live on my website! You can check it out here Website Shop

Where should I play next? If you want me to come to your neck of the woods, hit reply and let me know—I’m booking more dates now.

Thanks for being in my corner,

Amanda

December 2025

Seasons Greetings,

Wow — what a year 2025 has been!

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and say a heartfelt thank you before stepping into a short break.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has supported my music this year. With three singles and the release of my album Open Road, I’m feeling a deep sense of achievement knowing these songs are finally out in the world — being heard, shared, and hopefully enjoyed.

Creating this album has been a real journey, and it’s one I certainly didn’t take alone. I’d like to acknowledge the wonderful people who helped bring Open Road to life.

Open Road was recorded, produced, engineered, and mixed by David Longo at The Dock Studios. Bass and drums were recorded at The Grove Studios and engineered by Anton Hagop, with mastering by Leon Zervos at Studio 301, Sydney.

The incredible musicians on the album are:
David Longo – electric & acoustic guitars and programming
Gordon Rytmeister – drums
Leon Gayer – bass
Stefan Nowak – piano and organ
Backing vocals – Erin Thomas, David Longo, and myself

The album artwork was designed by Janny Grant, with photography by Jolanta Morgan.

After the music came the work of releasing it independently. I’m grateful to have been part of I Heart Songwriting’s Level Up Club, receiving private mentoring from Francesca de Valence, alongside Roz Pappalardo, Gretta Ziller, and Leanne Tennant (LT). I also had the help of Maria Salvador from Mesmerise PR in the lead-up to the album launch.

As you can see, it truly takes a community to make an album — and an even bigger one to support it once it’s out there. That’s where you come in. The best way to support independent artists is to go to a live performance, purchase a CD or some merch, right here from my website. Thanks to those of you who have already done so.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the grassroots supporters and fans of my music. Your support, encouragement, and sharing mean more than you know. I’m so grateful to have you along for the ride.

I’m really looking forward to hitting the Open Road in 2026 — touring this album and recording new music along the way.

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

With gratitude,
Amanda
